Summer Chef’s Dinner


Monday, August 16 — the chefs of Big Grove Brewery are joining forces with Chef Anthony Green for a one-night-only, prix-fixe beer dinner in Solon. Throughout this seven-course meal, prepared by our award-winning chefs, we’ll celebrate the flavors of Jamaica with fresh, seasonal dishes and our beers to pair.

Chef Anthony Green is a Jamaican native, owner of Chef Green and Co., and Assistant Professor of Hospitality Arts at Kirkwood Community College.

Menu outline:
1st- Bug Wash Sorbet: Pineapple, ginger, and lime.
2nd- Fruit Plate: Papaya, jackfruit, sugar cane, Sapodilla, passionfruit, guava, rose apple, quenepa fruit.
3rd: Fish Tea: A light seafood broth, scotch bonnet pepper, seasonal vegetables, green banana, and malanga.
4th: Coco bread: Trio of butter, molasses, and ginger, thyme and scallion, annatto.
5th: Snapper Escabeche: Cornmeal festival.
6th: Jamaican Jerk Pork: Local pork, banana BBQ, “Tun” cornmeal, Sunday veggies
7th: Flaming Bananas Foster, rum raisin ice cream.
