SO WHAT’S A VIRTUAL RIDE ANYWAY?! A virtual ride you complete on your own, or with friends. It can be done out in the fresh air or on your indoor trainer, etc. Track your mileage weekly to be entered to win prizes (more info below!)
We value how important exercise is in a time like this to continue your fitness goals, stay healthy, and just clear your mind for a few hours. Remember to ride in small groups (less than 6) and maintain a 6-foot distance from one another for safe social distancing practices.
In light of the current events surrounding our country, breweries have been forced to temporarily close tasting rooms - AND THEY NEED OUR HELP! Join our community of cyclists all around the country for the largest Virtual Cycling Event ever! We have partnered with over 40 Breweries Nationwide (and adding more daily!) to make this happen.
Three Main Benefits For You! 1. Solitary, socially distanced exercise inside and outside on your bike! 2. Promote your local breweries and increase taproom sales once re-opened 3. Support COVID-19 Relief as well as local cycling charities & breweries!

“Hailing from McHenry, IL, Miles Over Mountains plays a modernized style of bluegrass or “newgrass/jamgrass” that covers a wide spectrum of dynamics and feeling. Their live catalogue draws from their studio albums “Five Star Heart Breaker” (2015), “Ballads & Burners” (2017), and their new third full length album “Work Harder Not Smarter" (2020). In addition their cover selections are testaments to where bluegrass/roots influence can take music from outside the genre, with lovingly selected takes on their hero’s songs served up in their own furious fashion.
The band has been performing, touring, and making records since early 2014 playing an average of 120 shows per year. The band looks with excitement and hungry ambition towards 2020 when they’ll be releasing and touring in support of their new album.”
Like to ride bicycles? Like Big Grove Beer? Like the Iowa River Corridor Trail?
Put it all together and you have the Big Rove starting at the Big Grove Brewery in Iowa City. This ride will be along the Iowa River Trail and paved shoulders with stops in the communities along the way. Along with a great bike ride, you will enjoy food, music, and the fellowship of riders across the US.
In an effort to make sure we do what is best for everyone in the midst of this health crisis, we are postponing the Fly Fishing Film Tour/Big Grove event. We've worked with Big Grove to find a new date, Sunday, August 23rd.
We will re-open the ticket window at some point down the road and have contacted ticket holders.
We want to thank Big Grove Brewery for hosting this and working with us on the reschedule. We're hoping that by late August we'll all be in a place to enjoy some time together watching some awesome films and enjoying good food and beer at Big Grove.
Thank you and stay safe.
Come and join us at Big Grove Brewery in Iowa City for the Fly Fishing Film Tour!
